Every two years, the DGAO organizes a scientific aligner congress that presents the different systems, the latest scientific findings and practical experience from internationally renowned speakers. The accompanying industrial exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of the current products for all aspects of aligner therapy.

It is a pleasure to welcome you today to the 9th Scientific Congress for Aligner Orthodontics to invite the person who is at November 13th and 14th, 2026
It will take place at the Gürzenich in Cologne. Under the motto “Aligners in all dimensions” This year's congress is dedicated not only to the state of the art in aligner orthodontics, but above all to the developments that will shape our field in the coming years. Intelligent treatment concepts, new biomechanical approaches, and the increasing integration of AI and modern planning systems are fundamentally changing our field – and at the same time opening up entirely new therapeutic possibilities.

Our conference president, Dr. Julia Haubrich, together with the entire DGAO board, has put together a top-class scientific program and renowned speakers from all over the world You are invited to Cologne. General information

With 28 speakers, 250 participants and 18 exhibitors, the 1st Scientific Congress for Aligner Orthodontics of the DGAO eV started in November 2010 in Cologne's InterContinental, today the Dorint Hotel am Heumarkt. A success across the board.

Since then, four more face-to-face events have followed with steadily increasing numbers of participants and exhibitors, which resulted in a move to Cologne's Gürzenich. Most recently, due to the pandemic, the 1st Virtual Congress was held, at which the DGAO welcomed 700 international participants. A unique, interactive 3D exhibition platform crowned this first digital event.

This year, the DGAO eV is organizing a hybrid congress in Cologne's Gürzenich, at which numerous renowned speakers will once again present their scientific contributions to the international audience. An extensive industrial exhibition and the gala evening at SkyKöln complete the program.

25 years of aligner treatment – ​​what’s new?

What has happened in 25 years of aligner treatment? This question was explored by more than 8 internationally renowned speakers and around 22 orthodontists at the 23th Scientific Congress for Aligner Orthodontics on November 2024 and 30, 650, either live in Cologne or online in their own practices. The conference was intended to be a status quo, under the conference motto "25 Years of Aligner Treatment – ​​What's New?", and a look ahead to what will become possible in the future. ALIGNER ORTHODONTICS – from planning to the result

The German Society for Aligner Orthodontics (DGAO) has once again proven its pioneering role with its 7th Scientific Congress in Gürzenich, Cologne. After a purely digital annual conference during the pandemic, the congress on November 18th and 19th, 2022 offered an impressive return to the live format, supplemented by the option of online participation. Under the main theme “ALIGNER ORTHODONTICS – from planning to results”, the congress brought together leading experts from all over the world who shared their knowledge about the possibilities and limitations of aligner treatment.

With Dr. Julia Haubrich, at the helm, managed to put together a first-class list of speakers that offered a wide range of specialist knowledge. The digital pre-congress and the legendary gala evening on the first day of the congress set additional highlights. The accompanying exhibition also showed the latest innovations in the dental industry. Aligners and no end in sight

The 18th Scientific Congress of the German Society for Aligner Orthodontics (DGAO) took place in Cologne from November 19th to 2016th, 4. “Nothing stays the same” – 3rd Scientific DGAO Congress

With an impressive number of participants, the 21./22. The scientific congress for aligner orthodontics took place in November. Around 550 orthodontists interested in aligner therapy traveled to Cologne to find out about new developments in this treatment technique and to exchange experiences at the conference, which was being held for the third time after 2010 and 2012. On November 23rd and 24th, 2012 the 2nd Scientific Congress of the German Society for Aligner Orthodontics (DGAO) took place in Cologne. A complete success with over 300 participants

With 320 participants, 32 internationally renowned speakers and 18 industry partners, the 1st Scientific Congress for Aligner Orthodontics in Cologne at the end of November 2010 was a complete success. The organiser, the German Society for Aligner Orthodontics (DGAO), drew a consistently positive conclusion.

For two days, specialist lectures on a wide variety of aspects of all existing aligner systems were held in the conference rooms of the renowned InterContinental Hotel in Cologne. The interested specialist audience was able to exchange ideas with internationally renowned experts in a pleasant atmosphere. The 1st Scientific Congress for Aligner Orthodontics was the largest manufacturer-independent event to date, which offered a forum specifically for aligner therapy.
